From just $35 you can feed a family of four for a whole week with staples, fresh produce, and protein.
For Children
Children who rely on school lunches often go hungry on weekends. $8 fills a backpack with kid-friendly meals.
We bring fresh groceries directly to neighborhoods without transportation or a nearby pantry.
Home-delivered groceries and a friendly check-in for elderly neighbors who cannot reach a pantry.
Healthy Food
Partnering with local farms to rescue and distribute fresh fruit and vegetables — because healthy food shouldn't be a luxury.
We design each box and plate to give families the nutrients and energy they need to stay healthy, active, and resilient.
Carbohydrates are essential for providing the body with energy, helping fuel everything from a school day to vital organ function. That's why rice, pasta, and whole grains anchor every food box.
Protein is responsible for building and repairing tissues, supporting muscle strength, and maintaining a healthy immune system. We include canned proteins, peanut butter, and beans in every distribution.
Healthy fats support brain function, hormone regulation, and the absorption of essential vitamins — critical for growing children and aging seniors alike.
A single, nourishing meal gives people the strength and focus they need to get through each day.
We build every plate and every box to help neighbors stay active, recover from hardship, and rebuild their lives with dignity. Food security creates stability that reaches far beyond a full stomach — it means children can learn, parents can work, and seniors can stay in their homes.
Our Mission & Story
Rooted in faith and driven by compassion, we serve Chester County with food, hope, and community.
With each meal we provide a lifeline that shows individuals they're seen, valued, and not alone.
A healthy meal is essential for health, not just survival. We prioritize nutrition in every box and plate.
Food security creates stability that strengthens entire neighborhoods, not just individual households.
From the 7 AM volunteer huddle to the last box handed out, here's what a Saturday looks like at Charity Food Ministry.
Our volunteers pack more than 200 family food boxes on the third Saturday of every month. It takes about four hours, forty pairs of hands, and a whole lot of coffee.
Serving a warm plate to someone who is struggling is a reminder that dignity starts with the basics. Volunteering here lets you be part of that change.Become a Volunteer
